Quadrilateral. A four-sided polygon, the sum of whose interior angles is 360°.

Quadrilaterals Title Card

A quadrilateral is a closed figure made up of four line segments.

The four sides of a quadrilateral define the closed figure.

A quadrilateral has four vertices and four angles.

The sum of the angles of a quadrilateral is 360°.

A quadrilateral has two diagonals.

Each diagonal of a quadrilateral divides the figure into two triangles.

Since the sum of the angles of each triangle is 180°, this is another way of showing a quadrilateral has 360°.

Congruent triangles can form quadrilaterals along congruent sides.
