Math Example: Estimating the Line of Best Fit: Example 1

This is part of a set of math examples for approximating the line of best fit. The methodology works like this:

1. Calculate the mean of the x-coordinates and the y-coordinates.

2. Graph this point, knowing that this is a point on the actual line of best fit.

3. Based on a visual analysis of the graph, estimate the slope of the line of best fit.

4. Use the Point-Slope Form to find the equation of this estimated line of best fit.
