Definition

A point represents a location in space and has no dimensions.

Description

In geometry, a point is fundamental in defining other shapes and dimensions. They are intersections of lines and serve as foundational building blocks for other geometric concepts. For instance, when we define a line segment, we identify its endpoints as points. In various fields such as computer graphics and design, points are used to represent pixels in a digital image, illustrating their essential role in both practical applications and theoretical mathematics.
